GENERAL SCULPTURE
In this section are wood and metal sculptures of
various types including fanciful models and inlaid furniture.
Anything I could find in the scrap bin went into these toys.
It is interesting what cut-offs lead one to imagine. They are always so
much more suggestive than the purposively designed part of which they are the
left overs. Woods found in the cars above are luan, mahogany, bloodwood, ebony,
walnut and maple.
Below are some small copper and wood sculptures, some with
driftwood components. Small clay figures from China provide a surprising
perspective for some of them.

Here is a fantasy model designed by my son, Gabe, that he called
"Slider." It is about 15" long and is mahogany on top and basswood below
with the cockpit area stained walnut.
